The Association of Licensed Tourist Guides Athens -Greece participates in many different events. One of them was the afforestation of 12 olive trees that took place on the 16th of March on Asomaton sq. in Thission, centre of Athens.
This action was under the support of the Municipality of Athens. It was a great honour because the vice president of the council of the Culture, Sports and Youth Organisation - Ο.Π.Α.Ν.Δ.Α. (www.opanda.gr) is our dear colleague Artenis Skoumpourdi!
It was a symbolic event of grea importance because the trees come from the seeds of the Holy Olive tree of Erecthion, the first olive tree that Athena offered to the people of Athens and it's trying to make the public aware about the nature!
Humans cannot exist without it and it's a part of our civilization and we have to respect it, take care of it and protect it for the future generations!
We would like to thank you for the invitation!
