Volunteer guided tours for children- refugees from Ukraine

 

The Association of Licenced Tourist Guides, Athens together with the Volunteer Center of Ukrainian Communities and Greek Supporter "OPORA" organised a number of volunteer guided tours for children- refugees from Ukraine. They visited archaeological sites museums as a sign of support to the Ukrainians that found shelter in Greece during the war.
 
It was a beautiful journey in important historical sites of Athens, which lasted from October 2022 until January of 2023. 11 different routes in the city of Athens and Piraeus offered the opportunity to both guides and refugees to prove that culture and humanity don't have borders and such a simple gesture can create feelings of happiness and optimism.
