Have you ever thought, how different the history of humankind would it, if there were now women or no mentioning of women?!
Any women at all, regardless age, nationality, religion, origin, financial, political, social status or education!
Despite the inferior place they were given, they were still protagonists in the every day life either as wife, representatives of important people, or as role models priestesses, deities, or writers, intellectuals or entrepreneurs!
These and other things we heard during the visit in the temporary exhibition Kykladitisses:
Untold stories of women in the Cyclades( from December 12, 2024 until May 4, 2025, www.cycladic.gr)!
Our "guides" in this triop through the ages were two women Evi Papadopoulou, curator of Prehistoric Antiquities, and Metaxia Routsi, deputy curator of Antiquities.
Warm thanks once more for the hospitality and generosity for the knowledge and experience, that we offered to us!
