My name is Maro' Tsourapa, I am of Greek nationality and a graduate from Athens School of Tourist Guides operated by the Greek Ministry of Tourism following a Bachelor degree in Comparative Literature and Linguistics at the University of Bologna, Italy. Sixteen years of studying and working abroad - Italy, UK, Spain and France - have offered me multilingual competence and a flair for connecting with people from multiethnic backgrounds. An unfading interest in sciences and the arts has currently landed me to the National Technical University of Athens, School of Architecture where I am following courses of the history and theory of art, architecture and antiquities restoration. I nurtured the vision of becoming a full-time Licensed Tour Guide at a mature stage of my career out of a genuine spirit of inquiry which is constantly broadening my views and is leading me into a holistic understanding of the meaning and interpretation of cultural heritage and history. I am looking forward to showing you around a country that boasts nineteen UNESCO sites as well as a large number of elements on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage spanning from local food products, to craftsmanship, music and traditional dancing. Traveling together will turn an ordinary journey into an extraordinary experience as we unwind the yarn of the Greek legacy and history that will lead us to exclusive encounters with its myths, customs, architecture, religion, language, flavors which build those cultural bridges that connect ancient with contemporary Greece.
